About Us

Dipetane was created in 1985 by a group of Irish scientists in response to:

  • Two energy crises
  • Rising fuel prices
  • Growing environmental concerns

First, we analyzed the problems and found our starting premise:

  • Current fuels are incompletely burned and rely on detergents to wash away the residue. Despite the detergents, Combustion Chamber Deposits (CCD's) comprised of unburned carbon accumulate. These CCD’s occur in all engines and boilers, especially diesel and those fueled by heavy oils.
  • CCD's are a proven cause of increased smoke, increased emissions of greenhouse gases and decreased engine efficiency.
  • Unburned fuel and CCD's are costing individuals, companies and governments tens of millions of dollars every day in health problems from pollutants, climate change due to greenhouse gases and wasted fuel.

corporate headquatersWe investigated over 1,000 fuel additives, oil additives, filtering devices and magnets. We found only one solution that met all of our parameters: Dipetane. Dipetane was invented by an innovative Irish fuel technology company, Dipetane International Ltd.

Dipetane International started out by having accredited testing agencies and testing houses carry out laboratory tests to confirm that the root problem was incomplete combustion and the accumulation of CCD's. We then went about the task to discover a method of combustion which would eliminate the formation of the offending CCD's. This was no easy task. It involved 3 years of full time research and the investment of millions of dollars to find the answer. We did.

The results are:

  • Increased fuel efficiency
  • Better fuel economy
  • Increased power
  • Reduced emissions
  • Removal of carbon deposits in diesel engines

Recent Milestones

The Chinese authorities, anxious to cut pollution and reduce their fuel usage, have decided to utilize Dipetane’s unique technological advances to achieve its twin objectives. Following successful tests in China container loads of Dipetane are now on their way to the country.
